Orange Almond Blueberries

Take five ingredients and in five minutes you can create a five star blueberry dessert! This sauce works well with other berries too.

Ingredients
  • 2pkg. Volume(6 oz) Driscoll's Blueberries 
  • 1cup CUP_USVolumeorange juice 
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4cup CUP_USVolumelight brown sugar, firmly packed 
  • 1/4 1/4 1/4tsp. TEASPOON_USVolumealmond extract 
  • 2Tbsp. TABLESPOON_USVolumesliced almonds, toasted 
  • 2tsp. TEASPOON_USVolumeorange zest 
Instructions
  1. Divide berries between four dessert dishes 
  2. Combine juice and brown sugar in a medium saucepan. Simmer rapidly over medium-high heat until slightly syrupy and reduced by half. Remove from pan and add almond extract. 
  3. Drizzle warm syrup over berries and sprinkle with almonds and orange zest. Serve immediately.
